All American Tire Recyclers produces four grades of crumb rubber. Our manufacturing process produces over 40 million pounds of crumb rubber annually, converting waste tires into valuable raw materials for reuse.
Crumb rubber varies in size and refinement, and ranges from fine mesh crumb rubber used to produce molded rubber products to larger particles up to 3/8 of an inch. AATR manufactures crumb from 1/4 inch to 30-mesh.

TIRE DERIVED FUEL & TIRE DERIVED STEEl
In addition to crumb rubber production, our tire recycling process yields high-quality Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) and Tire Derived Steel (TDS). Our TDF product is used for industrial fuels and power generation, while our TDS provides a high-carbon steel product ideally suited as a base material for steel production operations.
Tire Derived Fuel
Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) is a mixture of tire shreds that have been that have been processed to remove metal wire and shredded to a certain size. As much as 50% of all scrap tires are being converted into TDF. In most cases, TDF is burned as a supplement to a plant’s primary source of fuel with the rubber shreds commonly being mixed with wood, coal, or fuels for burning.

Tire Derived Steel
Tired Derived Steel (TDS) is one of the principal materials extracted in the recycling process as it can account for 10% - 20% of the weight of a passenger car tire. While steel is fairly easy to extract in the recycling process, It must be handled properly to ensure it can be melted and reused in other steel and cast iron products. As a certified facility our steel wire scrap has passed quality controls and is ready for further processing.
